What Post-Op Lymphatic Massage Is
Post-op lymphatic massage is a gentle, rhythmic treatment used in the weeks after cosmetic procedures such as liposuction, AirSculpt and breast surgery. The strokes are light and unobtrusive on purpose: the aim is to support the movement of fluid while the tissue underneath is still healing.
People book it to help manage swelling, tightness and general discomfort during recovery, and many find the sessions calming at a stage that can feel anything but. It's a different treatment from general lymphatic massage: the work is planned around your procedure, your surgeon's guidance and how far along you are.

What a Post-Op Session Looks Like
Recovery timelines differ by procedure and by person, so the first visit starts with more questions than usual.
- 1
Your Procedure and Timeline
We go through what was done, when, and any guidance your surgeon gave you. If it's too early to treat, I'll say so and we'll book for the right time. - 2
Getting Comfortable
Positioning is adapted so there's no pressure on healing areas. Draping keeps you covered throughout. - 3
Light, Rhythmic Work
Slow, feather-light strokes in the direction lymph moves. This should never hurt; tell me the moment anything feels off. - 4
Afterwards
Drink water and rest. We can plan a short series of visits around your recovery, adjusting as your body changes week to week.
What Post-Op Lymphatic Massage Costs
A 30-minute session is $105 and a 60-minute session is $145.99, before HST. Every rate is on our pricing page.
Treatment from a Registered Massage Therapist is covered by many extended health plans in Ontario, and you'll get a receipt with the details your insurer needs after each visit. Coverage varies by plan, so check your policy.
